This is CDM's privacy policy. It explains CDM's policies for the collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information. Our Company abides by all applicable privacy legislation.

CDM's responsibility.

We are responsible for personal information in our possession or custody. Where we disclose or transfer personal information to related corporations or third party service providers as set out in this document, we use contractual or other safeguards to provide a comparable level of protection.

Purpose of Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information.

CDM will identify the purposes for which we collect personal information at or before the time of collection. The purposes will be limited to those which are related to our business and which a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. When you visit our website, we do not collect personal information that could identify you unless you choose to provide it voluntarily. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the websites to which it may link.

We may also share personal information with:

  • corporate partners and affiliates who help prevent and detect potentially illegal acts

Some of these service providers may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States. We require those service providers not to use or disclose personal information for any purpose other than as directed by CDM. If personal information is located outside Canada it will be subject to legal requirements in those foreign countries applicable to our service providers.

Limiting Collection, Use, Disclosure and Retention of Personal Information.

Personal information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except when consent was given by the client or as required by law. CDM will only retain personal information as long as necessary to fulfill those intended purposes. In addition to our service providers only our employees are granted access to a client's personal information.

CDM shall retain personal information only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected. CDM shall destroy, erase, or made anonymous, any personal information that is no longer required, provided there are no legal requirements for its continued retention.

Accuracy

CDM will use our best efforts to ensure that all personal information is as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.

Security

Personal information is stored in a combination of paper and electronic files. They are protected by security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.

Accessing Information

CDM will make information about our policies and procedures regarding a client's personal information readily available. Clients may review their personal information contained in CDM's files by contacting our Privacy Officer. If an individual believes that any of their personal information is inaccurate, we will make appropriate corrections.

Updates to this policy

CDM reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. We may amend this policy from time to time by posting an updated version on our website. If such amendments affect how CDM uses or discloses personal information already held by us in a material way, we will obtain consent.

Notwithstanding the general terms of this policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information may be made outside of the terms herein to the extent provided for in any applicable privacy or other legislation in effect from time to time, or pursuant to court orders. CDM may disclose personal information to another entity purchasing (including for diligence purposes prior to purchase) the assets of CDM, provided that entity abides by this or a similar privacy policy.
